About UsSituated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Feedlot is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot, and processing facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality.Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW. Being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The Feedlot has a capacity of 53,333 head, employs approximately 60 team members, and has a strong reputation for producing award winning grain-fed beef for key domestic and international customers.About the RoleWe are currently seeking passionate Pen Riders and Cattle Handlers to join our dedicated team. Key responsibilities of the role include daily livestock handling tasks such as pen riding and stock movements, diagnosing animal health symptoms, and administering appropriate treatments. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of animal treatments and stock movements, while ensuring strict compliance with JBS Australia's policies, including Work Health and Safety (WHS), Human Resources (HR), Quality Assurance (QA), Animal Welfare, and Environmental obligations.What's in it for you?The entry level hourly rate is $29.50. Pen Riders receive an additional $1 per hour if all requirements are met.Excellent horse care allowance package with feed and agistment are also provided, as well as stables and paddock facilities, ongoing farrier services, horse feed and vaccinations.About You
