The Parliamentary Library team delivers high-quality, client-focused information services to Members of Parliament, Electorate Officers, and parliamentary staff. Their work includes research, inquiries, media monitoring and managing collections such as databases, heritage and cultural resources, ensuring timely, accurate and impartial access to informationDuring a typical day you will:
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and impartial responses to news media and information requests.
  • Work on the Enquiries Desk as rostered, providing front-line client services to Members of Parliament and Parliamentary staff.
  • Manage and enhance the library's media monitoring and metadata management systems.
  • Liaise with service providers to maintain news media profiles and deliver content.
  • Provide training and support for clients using Library platforms and databases.
