The division employs more than 3600 team members.About the role:As a Senior Data Engineer within the Digital and Data team, you will lead the design, deployment and maintenance of data engineering and data management solutions to ensure data users can access timely and accurate information in a secure, scalable, efficient, reliable manner.Reporting to the Data Architect and Engineering Manager, you will evaluate and advise on core data architectural/engineering decisions, collaborate with a variety of stakeholders eg CloudOps, Security, Data Governance, to design and implement fit-for-purpose data management controls, while proactively leading and guiding team collaboration and delivery.We offer hybrid working, with our office located in Docklands.What you'll bring:

Proven 4 - 7 years+ hands-on experience in cloud-based data engineering and architecture, including data warehousing, ELT pipelines, data modelling, data governance, data management and business intelligence.
Expert programming skills (e.g. SQL, Java, Python).
Experienced with Snowflake data platform, DBT transformations and Airflow orchestration.
Good knowledge of software engineering principles, CI/CD practices and toolings (e.g. IaC, Git / Azure DevOps), DBMS, data warehousing, data modelling and business intelligence.
Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple priorities and dependencies.
Excellent communicator (verbally and written) with the ability of organising and simplifying complex ideas into easily understandable format for technical and non-technical audience.
Ability to self-manage, problem-solve independently, but also work well as a team player.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
