This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Theatre Manager or Nurse Leader ready to take the next step into a ANUM position within Endoscopy within the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.Overseeing a modern, premium day surgery facility and 2 high performing specialist clinics, you'll be supported by an experienced executive team and empowered to lead a highly skilled clinical workforce. This is a long-term leadership opportunity where you'll play a key role in shaping the growth strategy and continuing to raise the bar in surgical excellence.The RoleAs the Assistant Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide hands-on clinical leadership, and operational management of the surgical unit and clinics on site. Your expertise in perioperative care, along with a proactive approach to clinical governance, quality improvement, and staff mentoring, will ensure best practice standards are maintained across every aspect of the patient journey.This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact-building on an already outstanding service and driving continuous improvement across all areas of care.Key Responsibilities
Provide strong, visible leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary team
Oversee the clinical operations of the day surgery and specialist clinics
Ensure compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards
Drive clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives
Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and performance outcomes
Foster a positive, high-performing culture with a focus on safety and excellence
About You
Experienced ANUM or NUM or Theatre Manager with a solid background in endoscopy, perioperative or day surgery settings
Demonstrated capability in team leadership, staff development, and operational management
Strong working knowledge of NSQHS Standards, accreditation processes, and clinical governance frameworks
Proficient in budget management and P&L oversight
Endoscopy experience highly advantageous
Passionate about delivering high-quality care and achieving outstanding patient outcomes
A collaborative leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
