We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries.Position SummaryPurposeResponsible for supporting senior project engineers in day-to-day project execution that contributes to profitability of ongoing Subsea and OPG projects.The team handles projects covering life of field operations including and not limited to FEED, Drill Support, Bespoke Engineered Solutions, Subsea Equipment Scopes (design, repair, maintenance, preservation and storage), IMR, UWILD, IWOCS, Intervention and Decommissioning.The position is designed to be an integral role to ensure that subsea and topside projects scopes are specified, manufactured, tested and installed to meet operational objectives, company, national and international standards to ensure it integrate into and work well as an overall system.The Project Engineer works collaboratively with the project management team, other functional departments including operations and production, HSE & Quality and suppliers and contractors and required to execute workscopes for clients.Duties & ResponsibilitiesFunctionsESSENTIAL· Managing workshop orders, SCM liaison, vendor quotes, task plans· Support senior project engineers and follow tasks assigned· Adhere to processes set out by supervisors and report on progress as requested· Use the technical PMCOE tools and lead PFMEA, DFMEA, LL and other such tools· Use the templates and workflows set up for technical efficiency· Focus on knowledge sharing and peer support to other engineers· Support content to Risk register, LL and schedules and Cash flow· Build relationships across support functions to execute projects efficiently· Ability to be part of continuous improvement initiatives locally and globally· Manage Category cat 1 projects depending on value under· supervision· Raise req’s, work orders, set PCMS sites· Manage workflow and info to PCs· Support bid under senior PE supervisionSupervisory Responsibilities· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Critical Behaviors· Learn what it means to work effectively in a matrix organization.· Promote the effective use of SLA’s· Drive clear, visible, and frequent discussions between business and functional parts of the organization.· Promote improvement at all levels, where individuals train, mentor and understand willingness to understand all business functions and how they interact.· Ensure transparency and data centric based discussions when raising cross challenges.QualificationsREQUIRED· Minimum 4 - 9 years project management experience, in Subsea/Resources Industry.· Skilled with Microsoft suite of tools including MS Project or like.· Evidence of a strong business acumen· Demonstrated potential for Specialization in Subsea Engineering· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.· BOSIETPREFERRED· Masters Degree or Chartered Engineered StatusKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics· Knowledge of appropriate steps to analytical problem solving.· Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.· Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.· Treats others fairly and with respect.· Knowledge of department's policies, rules, regulations, business goals, vision, organizational structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, and values, etc.· Ability to establish and maintain project priorities.· Seeks out new learning experiences.· Identifies what needs to be done and acts before being asked or required.· Requires knowledge of a range of subsea equipment including subsea completions, trees, manifolds, umbilical, flowlines, control system components and subsea interfaces.· Experience with managing fabrication vendors for structures; generating technical specifications, ITP, knowledge of applicable Australian Standards related to welding, fabrication and nondestructive testing, vendor management on site.· Offshore operations and installation experience from vessels, including diving or ROV operations is desirable· Ability to assess causes of technical problems and device quick and cost-effective solutions. Strong technical writing and analytical skills is essential.· Understanding of engineering design of mechanical systems, hydraulics, tooling. experience with running tools is valued.· Ability to challenge subsea specifications, processes and procedures with a view to simplification and delivering value is essential· Ability to assess and implement design code requirements (i.e., API, DNV, ISO, AS etc.) is essential· Offshore experience with subsea intervention, repair and inspection is desirable. Knowledge of subsea intervention methods, subsea intervention equipment and subsea installation and ability to incorporate installation requirements into equipment design is desirable.· Strength analyses calculation and FEA; pressure integrity, bending, interfaces are essential.· Technical expertise in vessel based offshore operations on subsea assets, such as inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) or construction activities is desirable· Lifting and rigging; calculations, code compliance, material specification, load tests, certification is desirable· Knowledge of IWOCS systems and deployment is desirable.· Knowledge of Material selection such a steels and seal elements are desirable· Identify and drive the appropriate application of new technologies to provide greater effectiveness in project delivery· Specify 3rd party contractor’s scopes, manage, monitor, dispute resolution and persuasion· Ability to establish and maintain project priorities.· Experience in project tender preparationTravel ArrangementsTravel requirements related to this position· Ad hoc local/international travel to supply vendors and contractors works and mobilisation yards.· Ad hoc travel to offshore production facilities, drilling rigs and installation vessels for offshore work for specific projects· Normal office work requirements of 8-hour day, 40-hour week that can be worked flexibly subject to operational requirements· Site work both onshore and offshore may require 12-hour day, 7-day week· The role will be based in Perth with working from home arrangements agreed to on a case-by-case basisClosing StatementPhysical Activity/RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
