
Principal Business Analyst - Duck Creek Policy

- As the Duck Creek Principal BA, work closely with others in the DC Policy Platform core team and the Business design core team to provide functional leadership, governance, assurance, specialist consultancy and solutions to project delivery and support teams.
- Build strong relationships through engagement with colleagues, and stakeholders across Business and Technology.
- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams, business and technology stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs. Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Create detailed user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery.
- Document Technical design, Functional and Non-Function Requirements, PL101 completion, Policy Data Model updates, Interface/Integration mapping, Migration Mapping, Technical support documentation & Knowledge Bases
- Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Project Manager, Scrum Master, Architects, Developers, Tech Leads, Test Analyst to identify, capture, plan and deliver changes
- Mentor/train team members; participate and contribute to Business Analyst chapter and/or forums providing insights and thought leadership
- Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with Duck Creek Policy Administration systems.
- Strong understanding of Duck Creek standards, inheritance model, ideally experience with Duck Creek on Demand (DCOD), and experience with documenting requirements with development accelerators including PL101 and Technical Solution Blueprints.
- Training and certification in Duck Creek university and related certification desired.
- Minimum 8 years business analysis experience in General Insurance project/delivery roles, including the desired level of technical knowledge and expertise in Duck Creek
- Ideally be Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders.

- Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and mentor, and desire to make a difference.
- Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines.
