- Ability to understand complex program challenges and interdependencies
- Ability to work cross-functionally and drive effective, sometimes difficult working sessions to facilitate decision-making, and follow-through actions to successful implementation
- Concise, impactful written and verbal communication
- Experienced Program or Portfolio Director with a strong track record delivering a portfolio of complex digital programs over.
- Experience in major telecommunications technology rollout programs, preferably within the energy sector
- The ideal candidate will have experience with rolling out MPLS-TP in a large scale, and if not, at the minimum a strong understanding of the MPLS-TP technology
- Demonstrated capability managing projects from concept to implementation and benefits realisation, including portfolio experience in budgeting, resource planning, risk management, group facilitation, and reporting
- Skilled at balancing technical solution oversight, change impacts, and business stakeholder alignment while actively resolving delivery challenges and ensuring program momentum
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior executives, including clear, concise decision-making support and presentation skills.
- Commercially focused, with experience managing vendors and delivery partners, ensuring accountability for outcomes, strong cost control, and alignment with expected benefits.
- A relevant tertiary qualification and formal project or program management certifications is desirable (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP).
- Set-up program management discipline, including tracking, reporting, risk and issue escalation
- Develop and align approach for governance, key forums, audience, agendas, rhythms to ensure continuous alignment with Digital Leadership, Lines of Business delivery team and client.
- Develop strong documentation around actions-taking and follow-ups, and recording key decisions made in said key forums
- Clearly define and align roles and responsibilities of the program manager and individual Loop PMs
- Set-up and govern central procurement process and oversight
- Central oversight of Communications team timesheet
- Collaboratively work with business stakeholders and PMs to ensure appropriate escalation of project-specific issues and misalignments, and timely insights for decision-making
- Develop a deep understanding of Loop project interdependencies, and support understanding across teams
- Support team to define and endorse any revisions of scope, timing and budget for Loop projects
- Develop change management plan, including business communications, documentation and training for field teams
- Strong understanding of technology implications and Communications roadmap and collaborative future-planning of possible next technology iterations
