One that is equitable and prioritises learning and wellbeing.Together we will make our education system the best it can be.When our children and young people thrive, so do our communities and our state.About the roleThe Assistant Director, Workforce – Executives & Strategic Projects is responsible for leading a high performing team who deliver advisory and operational services to executives in workforce planning, organisational and job design, recruitment and selection of employees who are the best fit for their workforce needs and culture.With a strong focus on human centered approaches to contemporary workforce issues, the Assistant Director will proactively work to identify improvement opportunities to transform the experience of candidates, employees and leaders such that they become advocates for the department as an employer of choice.Through the provision of operational and strategic leadership the Assistant Director will drive P&C strategy and initiatives in central divisions, particularly as it relates to getting the right people, in the right place, at the right time.Qualifications and competencies:
  • Strong management and leadership skills with proven experience developing high-performing teams and establlishing a culture of excelllence.
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary human resource strategies and practices that enable organisational outcomes.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills with demonstrated success in achieving change through collaborative practice, negotiation and influence.

Special Conditions:The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
