As they continue to invest in innovation and large-scale projects, they're seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. This role plays a key part in supporting financial reporting, inventory accounting, and strategic decision-making across a dynamic retail environment.Job Description
  • Manage inventory accounting processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Monitor inventory balances and resolve discrepancies across systems and locations.
  • Provide financial analysis on inventory movements, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock variances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and timely inventory data.
  • Prepare inventory reports and insights for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Support inventory controls, including stock takes and cycle counts.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting of inventory-related costs.
  • Identify and implement improvements in inventory accounting and reporting processes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and support audit and compliance requirements.
The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Proficiency in using SAP and MS Excel.
  • Experience within the retail industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
