This role plays a key part in supporting financial reporting, inventory accounting, and strategic decision-making across a dynamic retail environment.Job Description
Manage inventory accounting processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant standards.
Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Monitor inventory balances and resolve discrepancies across systems and locations.
Provide financial analysis on inventory movements, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock variances.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and timely inventory data.
Prepare inventory reports and insights for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Support inventory controls, including stock takes and cycle counts.
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting of inventory-related costs.
Identify and implement improvements in inventory accounting and reporting processes.
Ensure adherence to internal policies and support audit and compliance requirements.
The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and compliance.
Proficiency in using SAP and MS Excel.
Experience within the retail industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
