Now we just need you.A real endeavour, shaped by youAs the Verification & Validation (V&V) Systems Engineer, your role encompasses spearheading and overseeing V&V Engineering endeavors across Joint Projects, which entail the JIC System, Common Item TDL procurement, and AUSTIN capabilities. This entails close collaboration with the acquisition team to ensure comprehensive V&V requirements support the project from inception to the introduction of capability into serviceTo succeed in this endeavour, you will be responsible for:

Support the engineering and configuration management activities
Assist and provide guidance to the Engineering Manager and System Managers for engineering and configuration management;
Develop/ review capability engineering requirements and procedural documentation;
Be the interface between Engineering Manager and System Managers by working collaboratively in a team to develop systems engineering, technical certification and integration documents;
Assist the Engineering Manager to prepare for Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and Engineering Review Boards (ERB);
Perform quality control on engineering documentation submitted to the CoA by the vendors; and
Assist with engineering audits of support services vendors.

A real endeavour, driven by youOur work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:

You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
Demonstrated experience and familiarity with CASG project engineering activities and planning;
Demonstrated experience and familiarity with Systems Engineering, preferably within CASG/ Defence environment (SEMP, Technical Certification Plans, Requirements Management);
Demonstrated experience and familiarity with software system safety, security and managing technical risk;
Demonstrated experience in Verification & Validation (developing, conducting, providing recommendations/outcomes)
Knowledge/experience of Defence C2 systems/ applications;
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical. Stage 1 or 2 professional engineering competencies as defined by Engineers Australia and recognised under the Washington Accord
