The OrganisationYou will be working at an integrated health service that provides a comprehensive range of acute and sub-acute services. The health service has 69 inpatient beds with a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week Emergency Department. There are two operating theatres (averaging 8 elective lists per week), with an 8-bed Day Procedure Unit.Inpatient services include general surgery, and elective surgery services include orthopaedics, general, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, plastics, urology, gynaecology, MaxFax, and ENT services.
The Job

As Consultant General Surgeon, you will facilitate and direct the provision of high-quality and comprehensive surgical services
You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills and supervise and train Junior Medical Staff and
You will support the health services' strategic priorities and contribute to quality improvement activities
This is a part-time, 38 hours per fortnight, position

Requirements

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), or equivalent
