(HEO6) $86,360 - $93,285 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.Full-time 12 month fixed term contract availableBased in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Market & Partner Engagement Domain in the Adelaide CBDAbout the roleWe are seeking a Visual Communications Designer to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of Adelaide and be based in the Intergration Management Office (IMO) in the Market & Partner Engagement (M&PE) Domain. The domain is responsible for attracting expanded student cohorts from diverse markets, channels, and offerings, and develop and transition a coordinated and integrated marketing, recruitment, communication and engagement plan for Adelaide University's (AU) Go to Market (15 July 24) , Day 1 2026 and beyond. In addition to key brand, marketing, recruitment and communication activities, the Domain oversees the development of a robust set of plans to support partner and stakeholder engagement across various markets and audiences.As the Visual Communications Designer you will be responsible for providing high level design, art and visual communication expertise to enhance the branding and awareness of the new Adelaide University. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams both within The University of South Australia (UniSA) and The University of Adelaide (UoA), developing and executing design, print and visual assets relating to the communication of Adelaide University with a key focus on Go to Market July 2024 deliverables.Core responsibilities
  • Conceive, design and implement high-level graphic design and visual communication solutions across channels for Adelaide University marketing materials
  • the roll-out and implementation of brand and marketing standards, asset and content management repositories and the appropriate tagging taxonomy practices
  • Provide expert advice and assistance in relation to development of, and compliance with, corporate branding and design standards
  • Liaise extensively across the IMO and wider Marketing teams at UniSA and University of Adelaide to ensure the effective integration of deliverables
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in visual communication, graphic design or in a related field, and/ or relevant experience along with a strong portfolio of professional visual communication work
  • Experience in a similar role and contribution of design communications in branding, marketing and wider communications contexts
  • High levels of experience in use of the full range of professional graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite including Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat, and their application
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge, creativity and understanding of content development, printing and publication processes, including the current technology involved in design processes and experience producing work for web, media and other digital channels, in line with communications or marketing plans
