The OpportunityThe Level A Research Fellow is responsible for advancing the University's research objectives by contributing to a defined project in the field of applied econometrics. This position supports the development of innovative computational procedures and methodologies, addressing a national skills shortage and enabling timely progress on a high-impact research initiative in modern econometric modelling.The role provides support in conducting independent and collaborative research, contributing to publications, and presenting findings at seminars and conferences. The position includes participating in professional and academic meetings, offering guidance to postgraduate students, and managing minor administrative and teaching-related tasks. It also involves designing experiments, operating advanced research equipment, and developing materials relevant to the research project under appropriate supervision.As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and a proven track record in producing high-quality research publications in econometrics or related fields. You will possess the ability to solve complex statistical problems, show advanced computer literacy with proficiency in relevant software, and display excellent written and verbal communication skills.
