With over 2000 employees across QLD, NSW and VIC, we are focused on growing and developing a career path for all our people.We are currently seeking a Dealership Accountant to join our very busy and highly varied Accounts department based in Warwick Farm. This role would suit a qualified accountant ready to take the next step in their career. Due to the nature of this busy role, a positive attitude with a hands-on approach is required.What we are looking for:
  • An experienced Accountant with proven skills of 2 years in a similar capacity
  • Accounting Degree and/or CPA/CA qualified is preferred
  • Automotive Dealership background not essential, but desirable
  • An ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong communication skills both within a department and with stakeholders in the broader business
  • Strong attention to detail and high analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
What the role briefly entails:
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance with accounting standards
  • Extensive Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Reporting & Analysis of P&L statements
  • Assist in the statutory tax reporting namely, GST, LCT, FBT and PAYG
  • Cash flow management
  • Internal controls
  • Assist in external audit preparation/requirements
  • Manufacturer reporting
  • Annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Senior leader to accounts department
  • Work on projects where necessary as directed by the Financial Controller
  • Effective communication with Managers and employees alike from various departments
