- Monitors and directs subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractors' management staff within the area of responsibility.
- Role supports on large projects of high complexity with multiple stakeholders’ involvement.
- Coordinate with existing operations and contractor to enable efficient marine and road logistics
- Reviews and monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Reviews and approves where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Leads the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
- Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements
- Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
- Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
- Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
- Safety programs/engineering systems, principles, and methodologies,
- Australian safety laws/regulations and regulatory agencies’ regulatory requirements and responsibilities,
- Industry standards/current practices for safety/health and building codes and standards
- Best management practices for minimising potential safety/health risks during project execution.
- Strong Leadership skills with the ability to lead and influence Project teams in the project Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) program, inclusive of technical and administrative aspects; compliance activities; and processes and plans associated with design, fabrication and construction of temporary construction villages and permanent buildings on mine sites.
