As a Funerals Director Assistant, you will engage in an integral role supporting funeral services, viewings and transfers.   • Providing best practice in the preparation and presentation of deceased persons
  • Encoffin and present the deceased to InvoCare standards and in accordance to special family requests.
  • Provide assistance to the Embalmer when required
  • Accurately complete mortuary registration and checking procedures
  • Maintain, clean and sterilise mortuary facilities and equipment
  • Perform coffin/casket trimming and engraving
  • Organise time efficiently and monitor daily workflow
  • Monitor stock levels and prepare orders as directed.
About you:
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all levels
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Current unrestricted drivers license
  • Previous experience in mortuary and completion of the Mortuary Technician's course preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • In a fit state of physical and psychological health to be able to adequately perform the role
  • Be at ease working with grieving families and the deceased
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to follow direction.
