This is a hybrid role with flexibility to also work from home.Your part in our UnitingCare teamReporting into our GM of Clinical Governance, as the Senior Education Manager, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to design, develop and manage the education portfolio across our 4 hospitals. Managing a team of four directly, and team of 70 indirectly, the role is pivotal in ensuring consistent training and education to clinical and identified non-clinical portfolios as well as executing our education requirements for accreditation on behalf of our four Hospitals. With a focus on continuous improvement, this role will:Review and implement efficiencies to processes and procedures to enhance the overall hospitals education program offerings (including clinical and non-clinical teams)Facilitate the creation of appropriate and cost-effective learning courses to address staff skills gaps in alignment with professional development and risk areas identifiedCollaborate with the relevant stakeholders including Clinical Governance and education partners in the development of new programs arising from internal review and audit recommendationsWork with the education team members to transform complex information into highly engaging educational contentReview the effectiveness of our clinical graduate programs, seeking opportunities for improved efficiencyProvide insight and proactively contribute to policy development as requiredMaintain effective networks and partnering relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, representing UnitingCare Hospitals in internal groups and external organisationsProvide people management and leadership to the education team membersEngage and motivate team members to ensure organisational and team goals are appropriately achievedLead and develop others through coaching, feedback and regular connectionsWhat makes a difference for us?Previous experience in a similar expert role within a learning or clinical education function, providing subject matter advice to employees and leaders as requiredDemonstrated experience in assessing learning needs and developing learning solutionsExperience in managing multiple stakeholders with competing prioritiesExperience in the design and development of complex learning programs, tools and resources, for varying audiencesExpert knowledge of Hospital accreditation standardsExcellent knowledge of adult learning principles, methodologies and learning design/delivery trends and best practice approachesExcellent stakeholder management and project management skillsProven ability to lead teams through process improvement and change initiativesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work within a dynamic and complex environmentPost graduate tertiary qualifications in a related field highly desirable (e.g. Nursing, Allied Health or Health Science)Current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment highly desirableWhat makes a difference for you?NFP Salary Packaging: Save tax and increase your take home pay by salary packaging your everyday living expenses and bills (up to $15,900) and meal entertainment (up to $2,650) per annum.
