- Instructional design of learning and development solutions in line with adult learning principles and being conscious of human centred, agile, design processes.
- Creating, designing and reviewing multimedia assets and content from existing and new online sources to identifying the number and type of media (collection of videos, pdfs, podcasts etc) required to address learning needs. This may include the design and creation of new online toolkits, video learning programs, elearning design and development and workshop and scenario learning opportunities. Engage with relevant stakeholders across DFAT to determine learning requirements.
- Engage with multimedia platforms to provision learning opportunities for the department across a range of platforms. This could include:
- Designing new learning and development programs
- Creating resources toolkit pages in the learning management system
- Uploading media as a standalone learning asset
- Linking learning assets to a particular course or learning pathway
- Upload and configure resources in systems:
- Write a description for the resource
- Upload the resource
- Test that the resource works properly
- Communicate with line area to advise of the successful transition of the resource/s.
- Work as part of the broader digital learning team to deliver this project.
- Review Multimedia.dfat website to download files including videos, podcasts etc.
- Review DFATs Diplomatic Academy intranet page and identify resources to be transitioned into the new system, e.g. Workshop materials, Videos, Podcasts, Guides etc. Engage with relevant content owner to determine requirement to move to the new system or retire or leave in the multimedia library.
- Identify what should be uploaded into the new system e.g. as a standalone learning asset or linked to a particular course or learning pathway
- Upload and configure resources:
- Write a description for the resource
- Upload the resource
- Test that the resource works properly in the system.
- the Academys internal and external websites and the design and branding aspects of the learning management system, Lumi
- design, publish and continually update content for Academy websites and systems
- internal and external communications for the Academy
- design, record and edit multimedia content for learning products, including graphic design, video and photographic material, and
- content development for the Diplomatic Academys social media account including drafting and publishing tweets and posts and provision of input to departmental social media accounts.
