We are working with a lovely engineering company that pride themselves on delivering high-quality solutions in the heavy engineering and mining industry. With a strong reputation for excellence and integrity, they're expanding their team and actively looking for a motivated Rubber Liner / Belt Splicer to join their workshop and on-site operations.The OpportunityWe're on the lookout for an experienced and reliable Rubber Liner / Belt Splicer to perform safe and effective rubber lining (hot & cold) and conveyor belt splicing duties. This role is hands-on and diverse, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and is committed to high safety and workmanship standards.What You'll Be Doing:
  • Performing rubber lining and belt splicing work both in the workshop and on-site
  • Contributing to estimating and quoting jobs when needed
  • Conducting sandblasting and painting as required
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Completing daily time sheets and rubber allocations
  • Attending toolbox talks and pre-start meetings
  • General trade assistant and yard maintenance duties when needed
  • Managing rubber lining consumables and liaising with purchasing
  • Representing our client with professionalism and integrity on every job
What You'll Bring to the Role:
  • At least 2 years proven experience in rubber lining and belt splicing
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S regulations in the heavy industry/mining sector
  • Ability to read basic drawings and follow instructions
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
