Position DetailsContinuing |Full-TimeAcademic Level B | $113,211 - $133,974 p.a.Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna CountryAbout the RoleUnder routine supervision, the Lecturer in Midwifery – Teaching and Research will support the design and delivery of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching, including developing course materials, leading lectures and tutorials, and supporting placement education. The incumbent may also teach into other programs across the College or University, as needed.In addition to academic responsibilities, the incumbent will actively engage in building and maintaining collaborative partnerships with external stakeholders to enhance learning and research outcomes. The role will also contribute to research or evaluation projects aligned with the College’s goals.The role includes informal supervision of casual academic staff and research support staff, ensuring workflows are prioritised and monitored in line with university standards and policies. This is a rewarding opportunity to shape future midwifery professionals and advance your academic career.This opportunity is open exclusively to current staff of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, with the successful candidate commencing in January 2026.About YouYou hold a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in Midwifery and are currently registered, or eligible and committed to registering, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Midwife.With significant, up-to-date experience in midwifery practice, you bring a strong foundation for delivering high-quality education in a tertiary setting. You have experience—or strong potential—in topic coordination, curriculum development, and innovative teaching practices.Your research record is aligned with midwifery and demonstrates quality publications and success in attracting competitive external funding, appropriate to your career stage. You have a clear understanding of the integration of teaching, research, scholarship, and professional practice.Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to build effective relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
