We are on the search for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our well-established and respected metal manufacturing client site located in Thomastown. This is a full-time temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for a trade-qualified fitter with a hands-on approach to mechanical maintenance.Pay Rate: $40.29 per hour
Location: Thomastown, VIC
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8-hour shift | Flexible start (any time between 7 am-10 am)About the Role:You'll be responsible for conducting preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment, working closely with operators to diagnose issues and drive improvements across the plant.Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance
Fault-find and repair mechanical systems quickly and effectively
Work alongside production teams to minimise downtime
Support equipment improvements and upgrades
Maintain workshop safety and cleanliness
Complete routine reports and documentation
Ensure plant equipment runs reliably and efficiently

To succeed in this role :

Hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance setting
Mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Previous welding fabrication experience will be looked upon favourably
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is beneficial
Valid Australian driver's licence
