This membership based organsation is seeking an experienced and proactive Events Manager to take ownership of a diverse and high-impact calendar of events for a well-regarded membership organisation. This is a hands-on role that will see you deeply involved in the full event lifecycle – from concept development and stakeholder engagement through to on-the-ground execution and post-event reporting.You’ll be responsible for coordinating and delivering a mix of national conferences, industry awards nights, state-based dinners, professional development forums, webinars, and specialist summits. The role involves managing all moving parts – venues, speakers, suppliers, sponsors, registrations, budgets, communications, and onsite delivery.It’s ideal for someone who thrives in the fast-paced, hands-on reality of event management and enjoys being across the detail – briefing speakers, coordinating AV teams, preparing run sheets, solving problems in real-time, and ensuring every event reflects the professionalism and quality of the organisation it represents.You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team delivering some of the most recognised events in the sector, including a large-scale annual conference that attracts thousands of attendees and senior stakeholders.Key responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver a national calendar of high-quality in-person and virtual events
  • Manage logistics from start to finish – including venues, catering, travel, AV, collateral, and on-the-day coordination
  • Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders including members, speakers, sponsors, and suppliers
  • Manage registrations, customer service queries, name tags, seating charts, and guest communications
  • Prepare event materials, speaker briefing packs, and post-event communications
  • Track budgets, reconcile costs, and coordinate invoicing with the finance team
  • Travel nationally and occasionally internationally to deliver onsite event support
About you:
  • 3+ years’ experience in end-to-end event planning and delivery
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events at once
  • Confident coordinating event logistics and making real-time decisions onsite
  • A team player who’s happy to roll up their sleeves and be involved at all levels
  • Experience working in a membership-based organisation or not-for-profit is desirable
  • Familiarity with iMIS or similar CRMs is a bonus, but not essential
  • Willingness to travel regularly for events (all expenses covered)
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
