Candidates who demonstrate transferrable mechanical trade-skills in a similar environment or industry (workshop) will transfer well.We currently have vacancies for highly safety, diagnostic and technically focused Mechanics to join the machine rebuilds team at the Perth Repair Centre based in Welshpool, WA. We are offering an appealing 7 on 7 on Thursday-Wednesday roster, 6am-6pm - DAY ONLY ROSTER, where you will have the opportunity to drive to work and be home every night! The large workshop offers flexibility for their people and their lifestyles in order to grow and maintain this positive work environment. Other rosters may be considered including a 4 on 3 off Days Only roster. Flexibility is embraced at the centre and you will have the opportunity to provide your working availability on applicationYou will be responsible for rebuilding heavy mobile machinery, predominately CAT machinery and or working in our Components department and training on this machinery are considered to be provided if you hold a mechanical trade and hands on experience with a transferrable mechanical trade skill-set.Positions may also arise in our components department.Your role will involve, but is not limited to:
  • Disassembling/assembling cat machinery such as dump trucks, graders, dozers and loaders
  • Diagnosing, analysing and repairing components
  • Creating a safe learning environment and a commitment to safety training and technical growth
About you:
  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • A proven commitment to safety
  • The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group
  • Ability to adapt and evolve in a very fast paced mechanical environment
  • Demonstrated prior experience working with heavy plant and equipment or transferrable examples
  • Forklift and dogging tickets preferred - but not essential
