We are currently seeking a multiple APS3 Verification Administrator (Access Officer) to join a vibrant Federal Government Department. This is a labour hire role based in Charlestown with initial 6 and 12 month opportunities available.The Role
The APS3 Verification Administrator (Access Officer) will work within a team environment to provide the National Access and Reassessment Brach with support in efficiently determining the eligibility of applications and streamlining access decisions.This role requires the application of clerical, administrative support and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Reviewing, processing, and assessing documentation and ensuring all information is available for an access decision in accordance with policy and legislation.
  • Making appropriate access decisions in accordance with delegated authority.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence about access and eligibility and providing accurate information and support to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining records, undertaking data entry responsibilities and other administrative tasks in accordance with standards and policies.
  • Informing prospective participants of their application progress as well as their rights and Obligations.
About You
This team is a geographically dispersed, so candidates with the ability to work independently along with strong communication, assessment and analytical skills are strongly encouraged to apply. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Previous administrative or service delivery experience, ideally within a large company or Government department.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft programmes (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Ability to produce work of high quality within tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability.
