The role:In consultation with the Orthotic Prosthetic Services Tasmania (OPST) State and Regional Managers you will be responsible for:
  • Providing leadership to the orthotic and/or prosthetic clinical teams within OPST.
  • Coordinating the provision of an efficient and effective orthotic and/or prosthetic service, which includes facilitating consumer-perspectives in service design, and providing support and training for clinical, technical and administrative teams.
  • Providing client-centered, evidence-based orthotic and prosthetic services for clients, involving effective collaboration with peer services, interdisciplinary teams and referrers.
You'll be working within the Burnie Regional Hospital within an immediate team of two and a broader state-wide team of twenty five.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of AppointmentPermanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
  • Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
Eligibility:Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: * Tertiary qualifications in Orthotics and Prosthetics, and evidence of membership of the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: * Current Driver's Licence
  • Post-graduate qualifications relevant to the requirements of the position
