- Lead the management, negotiation, and administration of key commercial agreements, including a major coal supply contract
- Support the business through contract transitions and dispute resolutions as they navigate a new agreement period.
- Oversee commercial activities across mining operations and power station projects, including regulatory negotiations, mineral development approvals, and land access matters.
- Engage in strategic structuring of long-term contracts, particularly around mid-life asset projects.
- Manage a significant insurance portfolio
- Drive enhancements to contract management processes, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Provide commercial oversight on litigation in partnership with external counsel and internal legal teams.
- Support financial performance initiatives, procurement activities, and long-term asset planning.
- Proven experience in commercial management within the mining sector, ideally with exposure to coal mining contractor agreements.
- Strong commercial acumen with a solid grasp of contract law, financial impacts, and risk management.
- Intermediate to senior-level experience, comfortable working autonomously yet collaborative with stakeholders across Operations, Legal, and Executive teams.
- Ability to operate under pressure, manage competing priorities, and drive outcomes quietly but effectively.
- Initial term: 3–6 months
- Location: Brisbane-based role with flexible hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)
