BGIS is seeking a Group Accountant to join our high-performing finance team in Sydney CBD.This is not just another accounting role - you'll be the go-to subject matter expert for IFRS16 lease accounting and Capex, play a key role in SOX compliance, and lead process improvements that shape how we work. With exposure across our diverse business and strong global backing, this role is a true career builder. What You'll Do

Own the month-end close and drive accuracy in financial reporting.
Lead on IFRS16 lease accounting and act as the Capex accounting specialist.
Support SOX testing and external audit requirements.
Partner with senior leaders, IT, and Transformation teams to ensure budgets and forecasts are on track.
Drive automation and process improvements across finance.
Provide expert accounting guidance, training, and support to the wider business.

What You'll Bring

CA/CPA qualified with 3+ years' financial accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and compliance.
Experience in statutory reporting, audit, and treasury support.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
A proactive, collaborative, and solution-focused approach.
