It's a multifaceted position that combines experience, technical expertise, leadership capabilities and a strategic approach. This role will be responsible for spearheading, organising, executing, and supervising projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and delivering tangible value. The successful applicant will be a seasoned expert with 5 years plus experience in project management, ideally within the manufacturing industry and have a proven track record of strong performance and championing company values and culture. We are seeking a disciplined leader who can support the business, deliver projects on time, within budget and scope and drive the company's growth and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Collaborate with the Head of PMO to identify and prioritize projects that support the company's goals.
  • Execution: Manage project activities, deadlines, task assignments, and lead teams to successful project completion.
  • Financial Oversight: Analyse financial data, administer budgets, and generate financial reports to keep projects within fiscal limits.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure projects adhere to quality standards and PMO policies and processes.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Regularly assess projects against company benchmarks and timelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and provide consistent updates on project progress to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address potential project risks to avoid delays or issues.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and schedule resources effectively to achieve project goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.
Specific Role Requirements
  • Industry Insight: Possess a deep understanding of the FMCG/Manufacturing sector to navigate industry-specific challenges.
  • Innovation and Digital Transformation: Embrace new technologies and data-driven strategies to enhance project results and the IT PMO's efficiency.
  • Methodology Proficiency: Have experience with various project management methodologies, tools, and solutions, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Scheduling and Risk Analysis: Build detailed project schedules and manage risks effectively.
  • Empowerment and Leadership: Ability to motivate and guide team members, setting an example and coaching them through project challenges.
  • Communication and Reporting: Clearly communicate project statuses and updates to the business.
  • Resource Planning and Team Management: Work with the Head of Business Applications to plan resources and manage development teams.
  • Business Analysis: Have a solid grasp of business analysis principles.
  • Cultural Alignment: Share the organization's values of humility, ownership, determination, discipline, availability, sincerity, and simplicity.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably with large-scale projects.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP certification, with additional certifications in process improvement disciplines beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools like MS Office, Visio, SharePoint, and MS Project.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication abilities for team and stakeholder interactions.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills to inspire and direct teams toward project objectives.
  • Organizational Acumen: Exceptional multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving: Robust analytical skills to address project challenges and devise solutions.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and sustain project momentum.
