About the role🔹 Casual Opportunity🔹 Monday to Sunday, Rotating Roster | 8:00am – 4:06pm🔹 Location: Adamstown, with travel to surrounding areas🔹 SCHADS Level 2 (commensurate with experience) + Casual loadingJoin our dynamic team delivering vital, community-based outreach and recovery-oriented support to individuals aged 16 and over. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide tailored psychosocial support that empowers people in their recovery journey, using a holistic, person-centred approach within the Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) program.Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) programs that deliver specialist community based psychosocial support services for people aged 16 years and older, with serious mental illnessAbout you in the role
  • Deliver individual recovery-focused support using evidence-based, person-centred approaches.
  • Assist consumers with navigating essential services such as NDIS applications, Centrelink payments, and DCJ housing.
  • Engage in capacity-building activities that promote recovery, resilience, and improved physical and mental health.
  • Develop and monitor individual support plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and community organisations.
  • Balance community outreach with administrative tasks, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up.
  • Receive guidance and mentorship
  • Work across various settings, including homes, community spaces, Hospitals, to support consumers wherever their recovery journey takes them.
About You
  • Relevant experience in the mental health or community services sector with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for recovery-oriented practice.
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Mental health or Community Services or working towards this qualification.
  • Strong ability to engage with clients, share your story, and collaborate with team members.
  • Experience or a strong desire to learn about recovery-oriented approaches.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, seeing multiple consumers in one workday.
