A leading financial services organisation is looking for a BI Developer to join its large dynamic team on an exciting new project. They have a passion for client satisfaction, innovation and industry expertise across Australia. This role would initially be a 12-month contract reporting into the Director of BI. This role would allow you to develop your skill set within BI and Data working with senior members of the team as well as being part of a large-scale project.The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced BI lead with experience using Tableau, Python and SQL on a contract basis.Key responsibilities include:
  • Working across various reporting platforms tracking results and will be required to deliver high quality information on business performance indicators to the key stakeholders and internal divisions
  • Consistent effort to understand the strategic direction and objectives of the Scheme to ensure consistent work flow
  • Undertake strategic research into our existing models and technologies
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms and efficient data structures and model performance tuning
  • Working with other team members on mathematical and computer science algorithms for resourcing data
  • Commercially focused with all levels of the business nationally
  • Contribute in the development of software implementations of the models and algorithms to assist and improve decision making within the company's operations.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role the client is looking for:
  • Extensive data literacy skills to understand and present complex data to key stakeholders and for whole division operational analysis
  • A strong background of BI having had experience with SQL or Python
  • Strong experience physically constructing and compiling data models
  • Proven track record of using Tableau or equivalent data visualisation tool) to deliver actionable insights and dashboard reports
  • Exposure to cloud-based platforms (E.g. AWS Redshift), Agile tools (E.g. Jira) preferred
  • High level of data literacy skills- numerical, analytical and technical
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Negative vetting 1 (NV1) Security clearance to be eligible to apply.
