CGC Recruitment have partnered with a long-standing client nationally who are at the forefront of the infrastructure boom across Australia. This company are a leading Main Tier Contractor who have a currently pipeline of works on the Eastern Seaboard alone in excess of over $1bn. They operate in a range of different sectors including Roads, Rail, Resources and Renewable Energies.They are currently involved in a complex $300ml+ Water Infrastructure project in Far North QLD and as of a ramp up in work load have identified an immediate need for a Project Engineer to work on a contract basis until the end of the year. Working as part of a dynamic team your responsibilities will include:- Development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of Project Management Plans
- Construction planning, scheduling and progress monitoring
- Design constructability and compliance reviews
- Subcontract management - building, structural, piping, mechanical, civil, electrical and design contracts
- Cost Forecasting and Financial ManagementThe role is a 4-month contract based in Cairns with accommodation and pool vehicle being provided by the client so this role would be suited to an Engineering professional who is flexible on location and keen to gain exposure to a major Pipeline project with a Tier 1 Contractor.Selection Criteria:- Minimum 5 years experience in an Engineering role
- Must possess demonstrated experience in Civil or Mechanical Construction
- Water Infrastructure experience is desired
- Tier 1 Contracting experience is preferred
- Clear confident communicator
