Based in West Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for an experienced or newly qualified Child and Youth Community Clinician to join our Warragul Community Mental Health Team on either a full time or part time, ongoing basis.Warragul Community Mental Health is a small multidisciplinary team, with the support of the wider LRH organisation, providing service to individuals in our community who are experiencing and episode of mental health. We work collaboratively with the individual, family and carers in supporting their path to recovery.The Community Clinician 0-25 years is responsible for undertaking a full range of clinical duties, including the provision of comprehensive assessment of needs for referred clients, their family and carers and to develop , maintain and coordinate care.

We are looking for candidates with:
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 with a formal Post Graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing, A degree in Occupational therapy and current registration with APHRA or a Degree or Diploma in Social Work and be eligible for membership to the AASW
  • Experience in Child & Youth Mental Health service delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

Selection Criteria Essential: Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19
Essential: Relevant clinical experience in Child and Youth Mental Health service delivery
Essential: Possess and understanding of relevant legislation and practice frameworks relating to Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS), Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS), and Family Violence Multi Agency Risk & Management
Essential: Demonstrated experience in the delivery of evidenced-based and best practice, family inclusive treatment to Child and Youth clients.
Essential: Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to Child and Youth clients, their families and cares
Essential: Demonstrated commitment to family and carer inclusive practice.
