
Specialist Medical Practitioner - Older Persons Mental Health Service

- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to implement evidence-based practices and adhere to contemporary clinical standards and policies relevant to OPMHS.
- Recent experience in an older person's mental health setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in risk assessment and risk management in relation to the clinical management of older clients with mental health problems, dementia, and/or physical health issues.
- Demonstrated capacity to exercise a significant level of independent clinical judgement in completing primary tasks while taking into account relevant policies and protocols and working as a team player in engaging and providing clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team decision-making process as appropriate.
- Demonstrated patient focus by displaying personal qualities of respect, politeness and empathy while at the same time being able to confidently balance this with duty of care considerations requiring appropriately responsive and confident clinical decision-making to enhance clinical safety and clinical outcomes
- Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022
- Motor vehicle allowance of $28,389 per annum, pro rata.
- Participation in Private Practice Scheme 35% or allowance in lieu of private practice schemes 35%
- Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $ 16,480 per annum, pro rata

- Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
