The Team:
  • The LGH Casual Pool offers the opportunity to work across various departments within Launceston General Hospital, gaining valuable experience in multiple areas.

The Role:
  • Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interact with the public and all disciplines of professional staff.
  • Well-developed time management skills and the demonstrated ability to work autonomously; prioritise workloads; and apply flexibility, speed and accuracy whilst working in a busy and demanding public environment with an exacting schedule.
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities in contemporary clerical and administrative support including rapid and accurate data entry skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite packages and knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, the Launceston General Hospital's health information systems.
Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Fixed term, casual, day worker position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
