- Manage, develop and administer specialised library and information services to a statewide clientele
- Undertake complex research and provide professional and technical advice to client groups on library services. Coordinate client training as required
- Provide leadership and supervision to staff involved in the provision of library and information services
- Manage resources allocated to the Wingfield Library. Undertake budgeting and service evaluation
- Assist in the formulation and review of library policies and strategies to meet departmental objectives and client needs
- Liaise with other libraries and information services within and outside the Agency to maximise services
- Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.

- Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement
- Degree or diploma in Librarianship or information studies from recognised institution of higher education or a post graduate diploma in librarianship or information studies. Eligibility for admission to Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
- Tasmanian Driving Licence
