Join us and let’s get started.Job DescriptionThe Commercial Director - CI ANZ will support the ANZ strategy by the effective management of AECOM’s risks and improved commercial business outcomes. The Commercial Director C&I ANZ, plays a key role in driving strong commercial outcomes in their end market/sector and contributing to the effective management of AECOM’s project delivery and business risks. This role involves extensive liaison with Operations, Legal, Finance, Regional Management, Major Projects and Project Managers (PM’s). The position also helps shape a culture of commercial acumen, prudent risk management and the highest standards of ethics and integrity across the ANZ business.This role is responsible for:
- Contributing to a culture of prudent risk management, and the highest standards of ethics and compliance.
- Growing the commercial competency of the business by raising Risk Management awareness or our project teams.
- Engaging, influencing, and inspiring staff to deliver the business plan with a focus on commercial outcomes and alignment with ANZ strategy.
- Being across industry and market procurement trends and attend applicable industry events.
- Maintaining relationships with contractor partners across ANZ and monitoring the currency and implementation of framework agreements.
- Working closely with the ANZ Major Projects Director in developing the commercial models to match our service delivery for our most significant projects.
- Contribute to the finalisation of appropriate pricing for key pursuits, considering all potential commercial, contractual and technical risks, while ensuring that company risk management guidelines, procedures and approval processes are followed.
- Attend and contribute to Why Go, Go/No Go reviews, bid submission/fee reviews and project progress reviews, including formal Project Reviews for designated C-0, C-1 or C-2 projects.
- Provide support in development of commercial framework with analysis of risk and reward, type of delivery and fee model.
- Create key term sheets to define and mitigate exposure based on the type of project and contract conditions.
- Guide and assist with risk modelling (likelihood & consequence; risk registers etc); and price modelling (fees, cash flow; ROIC) on selected major pursuits.
- Provide general commercial and risk management advice/guidance to PMs and project teams on AECOM’s risk appetite and compliance with AECOM corporate, contractual and government regulatory requirements.
- Prepare negotiating strategies and assist or lead negotiations on commercial matters through all stages of designated major/high risk projects, from bidding to service delivery.
- Lead and/or assist with the resolution of contractual disputes and designated major PI Claims.
- Provide management and leadership to commercial directors within the regions who directly report to this role.
