Uniting Sydney central are looking for a Full Time Admissions Specialist based between 2 homes. This is an onsite role.Uniting Sydney Central have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven salesperson to join our Admissions team. If you have a passion for aged care and excel at sales, this role could be your next career step.About the opportunityOur Admissions Specialists’ are core to the Uniting team. This role is a vital service and designed to ensure the very best introduction and navigation for prospective residents as they interact with Uniting when looking at options for Residential Aged Care. As the key Admissions contact for consumers and allied health referral partners, who are looking for care, you will be responsible for ensuring all enquiries are answered and options explored so that everyone receives the information and attention required to make an informed decision on their future.Having an empathetic attitude when dealing with people and a positive, constructive mindset to find the right solutions is at the very heart of this role. You will also need to demonstrate a pro-active mindset, ensuring hospital and allied health contacts in the area are aware of Uniting’s residential care options, building and nurturing relationships and becoming seem like a local expert in the transition to aged care. Experience in aged care, healthcare admissions, or a comparable client-facing role is highly valued.What you’ll be doing in this role
  • Communicate with potential clients, their families, and other stakeholders, all of whom may have varied needs and queries in relation to prospective entry to residential care
  • Ensure all incoming enquiries are answering and relevant communication is documented, being responsible for updating the CRM
  • Promote the Uniting Residential Aged Care Services, ensuring the right match of resident to service, based on factors ranging from Care needs to financial situation and Lifestyle options.
  • Work for the continuous improvement of our service to ensure it’s the best it can be, in line with legislation and Uniting Policy.
  • Build partnerships with referral partners though integrated engagement with other stakeholders.
Who we’re looking for:
  • Strong sales administration, IT, and documentation skills
  • Ideally, you will have experience in Sales and Customer Service or equivalent qualification/experience in the Aged Care field.
  • Full NSW Driving License
  • Experience in similar role very desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—sensitive to the unique needs of older adults and their families.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple applications and priorities.
  • Comfortable using digital records, online platforms, and administrative databases.
  • Empathy, professionalism, and a heartfelt commitment to person-centred care.
Skills & experience
  • A proactive approach to Sales and Stakeholder engagement
  • High attention to detail and ability to problem solve, negotiate, mediate and resolve conflict
  • An understanding of the Aged Care Sector - ideally Residential Aged Care
  • Well-defined networking, relationship management & customer service skills & experience
  • Well-defined written & verbal communication skills
