This role combines responsibilities of both a Sandwich Hand and a Kitchenhand, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks.You'll be crafting an array of fresh sandwiches while also supporting broader kitchen operations - ensuring cleanliness, order and efficiency in the back-of-house. What you will do?:

Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads and other grab-and-go items to a high standard of quality, presentation and hygiene
Ensure the freshness of ingredients and follow portion control and food safety guidelines
Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene across all food preparation and kitchen areas
Perform temperature checks and manage cross-contamination in line with WHS and Food Safety standards

Support chefs with basic food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning ingredients, and preparing items ahead of service * Assist with general kitchen operations including dishwashing, sanitising equipment and cleaning workstations

Take ownership of cleaning duties including floors, dishes, equipment and waste management, using commercial dishwashers and cleaning chemicals safely
Handle stock rotation, unpack deliveries and keep kitchen supplies well maintained
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak periods

More about you:

Previous experience in a sandwich hand or kitchenhand role is preferred
Food Safety Certificate
Passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability across a 7-day roster, with the majority of shifts starting early in the morning
