The newly redeveloped hospital was opened in 2015 with state of art facilities across emergency, maternity, paediatrics, theatres, intensive care, coronary care, medical and surgical specialities, with 348 treatment spaces.The maternity service boasts Level 4 capability, with on-site Paediatrician support and a Level 3 Special Care Nursery. This specialist service features a 20-bed maternity unit, 3 birth suites, and an 8-bed Special Care Nursery within a modern Rural Referral Hospital that provides specialist care to the northern region. The dedicated team includes three Staff Specialists (one of whom is DDU trained), two Visiting Medical Officers, trainees, experienced midwives, GP Obstetricians, RMOs, Aboriginal Mother and Infant Health Services, and Allied Health clinicians.Outpatient clinics offered encompass antenatal, gynaecology, high-risk obstetric, Aboriginal mothers and babies, and colposcopy. The hospital also delivers a Level 4 Gynaecology service, accommodating major gynaecology procedures using both open and laparoscopic surgery, along with a 24/7 emergency service. Consultants joining our team will have regular access to modern theatre and outpatient facilities for their practices.The Requirements
- FRANZCOG with specialist registration or are on an approved pathway with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
