Our client is a global consultancy delivering scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and reliability engineering solutions across government and enterprise platforms. This role supports AWS-based systems with a focus on automation, observability, and performance.About the role:
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer with deep hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure, containerisation, and monitoring platforms. You'll be responsible for ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance across cloud-native environments, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting mobile application monitoring.Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain infrastructure and software systems within AWS.
- Automate daily processes using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Git.
- Configure and manage container runtimes and Kubernetes environments.
- Implement observability using Dynatrace, Splunk, and Open Telemetry.
- Set up mobile app monitoring with Dynatrace, Firebase, and Crashlytics.
- Support microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.
- Manage AWS services including CloudWatch, RDS, EKS, S3, EC2, VPC, Route53, PrivateLink, TransitGateway, EFS, IAM, and CloudTrail.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and maintain architectural integrity.
- Deliver high-quality outcomes with strong ownership and accountability.
- Extensive hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure and automation.
- Proficiency in containerisation and Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability platforms and mobile monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with Git, Terraform, Helm, and Cloudflare (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of microservices and cloud-native architecture.
- Senior or Principal-level experience in SRE roles.
- Experience with TypeScript or Golang.
- Proven collaboration and communication across technical and business teams.
- Experience in government or public sector environments.
- Australian Citizenship.
- Baseline or NV-1 Government Security Clearance.
This is a contract role based in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, or Adelaide, commencing as soon as available. You'll work on high-impact reliability engineering initiatives in a secure, agile environment.How to Apply
