Location: Footscray Park CampusVictoria University (VU) is seeking an experienced HCM Systems Administrator to join our People and Culture team. This critical role will provide specialist application support for Oracle HCM, ensuring the system delivers excellence across configuration, reporting, integrations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.About UsAt Victoria University (VU), our aim is to be a global leader in dual-sector learning and research by 2028.   • As the HCM Systems Administrator, you will:
  • Lead the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of VU's Oracle HCM system.
  • Provide specialist advice on system performance, enhancements, and user experience.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver effective outcomes.
  • Analyse data to develop insights, identify improvement opportunities, and support business decisions.
  • Work closely with vendors, IT Services, and People and Culture colleagues to resolve complex issues.
  • Mentor and coach team members to strengthen system capability across the University.

  • Postgraduate qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in information systems (preferably HCM).
  • Strong expertise in administering Human Capital Management systems (e.g. Recruitment, CoreHR, Time & Labour, Absence) and supporting payroll integrations.
  • Advanced problem-solving, analytical and query (Oracle SQL) skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build collaborative relationships.
  • Experience leading or coaching others to build technical and process knowledge.
  • (Desirable) Project management experience and exposure to HR/Payroll systems such as AscenderPay, PageUp, or Oracle HCM.
