Our St John the Baptist Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built preschool on the grounds of St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School. At our Early Learning Centre we provide a range of activities for children aged between 3 and 5 years of age so that each child can engage in something they are interested in.We are looking for an Early Childhood Teacher to work Monday to Friday alternating between the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm. The successful candidate will work alongside the Director with supporting and implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.This role will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The centre closes for a 2 week break over the Christmas and New Year period. You will also be entitled to an RDO and a paid meal break, plus above award wages, ability to take part in salary sacrificing and a sign on bonus.About the role

- Work alongside the director to provide high-quality care and education.
- When required perform tasks associated with being a Responsible Person in Charge.
- Ensure a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices.
- Assist with the planning, implementing and evaluation of programs.
- Create a fun and engaging environment through play experiences.
- Develop positive and supportive relationships with children and families.
- Form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues.
- Current and valid Working With Children check clearance.
- Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Degree in Early Childhood Teacher Education or studying towards 4th year qualification.
- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Ability to implement good practices in relation to guiding children’s behaviour.
- First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting.
