The Commercial Manager's role involves overseeing all the financial aspects of the project from start to finish. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the client contract and aiming to maximize project profits.Your duties and responsibilities will include:During Bids, provide regular, clear briefings, analyses and summaries of complex legal, technical, and commercial bid and contract issues for non-specialist audiences and executives.Provide governance oversight of client contracts to ensure compliance and maximize project profitability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project finances effectively.Develop and implement financial strategies to support project goals.Monitor and analyze project financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.Negotiate key supply and works subcontracts and obtain all necessary internal approvals for any derogations from UGL standard subcontract terms in accordance with UGL Procurement PolicyYour skills and experience:Degree in Accounting or LawProven experience as a Commercial Manager in the Renewable, Utilities, or any EPC industrySignificant strategic commercial experience in a hard dollar or lump sum environment, preferably within large construction and engineering companiesStrong understanding of project finance and contract management.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Please note that relevant screening checks will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
