Attachments:CRVCID No. 696244This is a recruitment process is for Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time, Fixed Term - Full Time and Fixed Term - Part Time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.Position Profile and Role:We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Team.You will assist with planning and implementing group and individual Allied Health programs at Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Inpatient Unit under the direction and supervision of the Senior Occupational Therapist or their delegate.About Directorate:The Mental Health Inpatient Unit on Ward 5A at Perth Children’s Hospital is the state-wide assessment and treatment facility for children and young people up to 16 years old with complex and acute mental health issues. It is a recovery-focused patient and family-centered service.It offers a seven-day multidisciplinary program in a safe environment for voluntary and involuntary patients as authorised under the Mental Health Act (2014).The unit offers short term assessment, brief intervention, and therapeutic group programs, depending on the needs of the patient.How to applyWe welcome your application via the ‘Apply for Job’ button at the bottom of this page.   • Completion of an approved Allied Health Assistant Training Program (or equivalent) or minimum first year completed of an Allied Health Degree (Masters or Bachelor’s) (Essential Criteria 1).

– Community CAMHS offers mental health assessment and multidisciplinary intervention for children and young people up to the age of 18 years. – The Specialist Services and Day Programs consists of Complex Attention and Hyperactivity Disorder Service, Multisystemic Therapy, Pathways and Touchstone.
