The Company:An award-winning and highly established home building and design company, due to continued growth are looking to hire an experienced Senior ArchiCAD Draftsperson to join their growing drafting team. Housing construction projects consist of a vast range of designs.Advanced ArchiCAD skills is a must in this role.Excellent variety and range of residential projects.Key Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Producing complete & comprehensive working drawings for an array or houses and designs including but not limited to Townhouses, Triplexes, NDIS, Multiple Dwellings
  • Working on a diverse range of projects ranging from volume build homes to multi-dwelling townhouse developments to three storey completely custom townhouses.
  • All previous experience has been built upon with greater knowledge and understanding obtain to all aspects of the building design process and the production of architectural drawings to be used in the construction of a building.
  • Producing the drawing template (Archicad) for the builder from nothing to be used for all documentation and production of Architectural plans.
  • Producing the drawing set layout, notations, scheduling and take offs (Automated) for builder to use in the production and estimating of projects going forward.
  • Engaging with relevant engineering and suppliers to ensure the design is feasible and offering solutions to resolve any issues that may arise in this regard.
  • Applying & furthering thier knowledge of different construction methods and principles
  • Implementation of latest building codes applied to all β€˜Master’ designs so they comply specifically in regards to the latest standard applicable 2024.
  • Submission of plans for both Building & Covenant approvals. Ensuring all certification RFIs & council requirements are achieved & Covenant regulations & guidelines are met
  • Greater experience using creativity within projects & allowed the freedom to make decisive design decisions to give the clients the best possible outcome (aesthetically)
  • Producing detailed documentation of Architectural plans – including construction details when required for site supervisors and respective trades
  • Liaising with the estimating team make design decisions based of the overall costing of materials & installations to achieve the highest possible quality finish for the client
  • Designing to all Levels of NDIS & producing completely compliant & approved designs.
  • Understanding & including detail diagrams for varying building types & materials to assist on site a clear understanding as to how the building is to be constructed.
Role Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 3-4 years experience as a drafter/designer
  • Experience working within a home building company will be advantageous
  • Advanced level drafting experience using ArchiCAD
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player
  • Able to meet deadlines
Highly Proficient using:
  • ArchiCAD
  • Photoshop
  • Microsoft Suite
Experienced using:
  • 3dsMax
  • Inventor
  • Solidworks
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Indesign
  • Adobe Premier
  • Lumen (Render)
