Are you passionate about safety and ready to make a meaningful impact?Working Mon - Fri, 7am - 5pm this position plays a key role in delivering Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) outcomes. Supporting the operational divisions of the business in all phases of project delivery, you will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety and excellence.Key responsibilities include:
- Inform and implement Safety Management Plans across the project
- Undertake aspects of Environment and Quality function.
- Ensure actions from inspections, audits, incident investigations, staff meetings and workforce meetings are captured and followed through until closed out
- Work with project team and training staff to ensure work crews are correctly certified and have successfully completed verifications of competency (VOC), utilising Ventia systems
- Develop and deliver safety related training (e.g., toolbox talks, prestart meetings, campaigns etc.)
- Provide input into the Risk Assessment process and ensure identified controls are transferred to SWMS, Work Instructions and Start Cards
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (minimum or equivalent)
- Comprehensive knowledge of OFSC criteria, highly regarded
- Plant construction experience will be highly desirable
- Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Sound computer skills
- Current class “C” driver's licence
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be willing to undergo and present satisfactory results of a Drug and Alcohol test as well as a Police Check.
- ICAM training is advantageous but not essential
