About the DepartmentThe Net Zero Economy Authority (NZEA) is a non-corporate Commonwealth entity that was established on 11 December 2024. NZEA has recently off-boarded its finance and procurement functions from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and requires an experienced EL1 Procurement Officer to support the transition of NZEA's procurement function to business as usual (BAU).About the RoleTo be effective in the role, the EL1 Procurement Officer must have an in-depth working knowledge of the Commonwealth procurement framework at an Executive Level, experience using a TechnologyOne CIA procurement solution, and in managing/mentoring a junior staff member.Key Duties
Successful transition of the NZEA's procurement function to BAU, requiring the decentralisation of the function. This will involve making enhancements to NZEA's TechnologyOne procurement solution, as well as implementing improvements to procurement processes and guidance materials to ensure they are fit-for-purpose for the transition.
Providing procurement training to NZEA staff.
Providing expert advice and support to business areas undertaking complex procurements in a timely manner.
