Our team works with some of the biggest names in the sector, delivering solutions that keep machinery moving and businesses operating.The RoleWe’re looking for an experienced and reliable Stores person to join our team in Pinkenba on day shift.This is a labour hire role through our recruitment partner, Haynes People, with a genuine opportunity to become a permanent team member at HMG for the right candidate.You’ll play a key part in managing stock, supporting workshop operations, and ensuring the smooth flow of parts and materials. This role offers the stability of a 38-hour week with overtime available, and the chance to work in a supportive, safety-focused environment.What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and dispatching outgoing jobs, ensuring items are packaged, labelled, and ready for safe transit
- Receiving and unloading incoming shipments, recording items accurately, and assisting with stock flow
- Operating forklifts safely to move, load, and unload materials in the stores and yard
- Picking, packing, and coordinating orders for timely despatch
- Liaising with workshop, production, and purchasing teams to keep records and paperwork accurate
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe stores and dispatch area, supporting continuous improvement across operations
- Current Forklift licence – essential for this role
- Previous experience in a Stores, Warehouse, or Dispatch role
- Strong skills in picking, packing, and despatching orders
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in records and stock handling
- Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Day shift – 38 hours per week + overtime
- Potential to go permanent with HMG
- Based in Pinkenba, close to the Gateway Bridge and Brisbane Airport
