In this role, you'll support a range of commercial and legal matters across key accounts and business segments, at all points in the contract lifecycle. You'll help structure deals, review and negotiate contracts, provide advice on legal risk and compliance, and ensure our contracts align with both business needs and legal obligations, supporting Fujitsu to win, retain and defend profitable business.This is a permanent, full-time position based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra. Fujitsu offers flexible/hybrid-working.Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including tenders and customer contracts.
  • Provide legal support on new business opportunities and customer transactions.
  • Advise on legal risk, ensuring alignment with internal policy.
  • Support resolution of contractual issues or disputes, including interpretation and compliance.
  • Contribute to development of terms and offerings that balance customer needs with business objectives.
  • Increase the value contribution to the business, through a willingness to lean-in, support and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Be an effective and enthusiastic team worker who creates positive working relationships.
  • Support and/or lead digital technology-driven initiatives for the Legal & Reputation team.
  • Provide timely reporting to multiple stakeholders with predictive risk analysis. Reporting should address wider context of matters and provide insight on business outcomes.
  • Take ownership of matters and workload, independently managing complex matters whilst offering support to others.
  • Contribute to and/or lead team training, knowhow, precedent and innovation initiatives.
Requirements and Experience
  • Up to 7 years experience in a commercial legal role, preferably inhouse in a technology or professional services organisation.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, commercial negotiation and legal risk management.
  • Familiarity with IT contracting, outsourcing or system integration agreements is a plus, as is an interest in new technologies.
  • Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels and work across complex deals to reach successful business outcomes. Understanding of financial models, cashflow and profit and loss to inform support given to accounts and transactions.
  • Legal qualifications and admission to practice in Australia.
