IT Training and Development Coordinator
Location: Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra CBD
Start Date: 12 August 2025
End Date: 30 June 2026 (with potential 12-month extension)
Hourly Rate: $60 - $68 + Super
Work Arrangement: Full-time | Federal Government Agency
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Baseline AGSVA clearance
About the Role A highly regarded Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced IT Training and Development Coordinator to join their team. This role plays a critical part in supporting technology adoption and enhancing digital capability across the organisation by delivering tailored IT training programs. You will be instrumental in driving user readiness for new systems and technologies by working collaboratively with change and project teams to develop meaningful and engaging training solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct IT training needs analysis to identify gaps and required skill levels in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality training content including user guides, SOPs, quick reference materials, and video tutorials.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver training programs virtually or face-to-face, enhancing digital literacy and system proficiency.
  • Collaborate with change teams to align training activities with program timelines and business needs.
  • Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new systems through proactive training interventions.
  • Liaise with IT and project teams to understand and communicate system changes effectively to end users.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops, ensuring content aligns with change objectives and project milestones.
  • Track and report on training uptake, delivery effectiveness, and learning outcomes, using feedback to continuously improve.
Essential Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance
  • Must obtain a National Police Check
Key Skills & Experience Mandatory:
  • Proven experience delivering IT training or technical instruction in professional settings.
  • Skilled in translating technical content into user-friendly, accessible training materials.
  • Ability to independently manage training development and delivery cycles, from needs analysis to evaluation.
  • Strong experience designing diverse training outputs (manuals, quick guides, e-learning modules, etc.).
  • Experience developing and evaluating learning and development programs to support digital change.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
